Wow, that is a narrow strip isn't it? Do you have a pic of pattern so we can see?

Yes, I have and have used this ruler. It takes forty blades to make a Dresden plate. It was my first Dresden plate quilt, and measured 47" across, and evidently I needed to learn a way to keep my stitching accurate since the Dresden came out a "volcano" that I spent a couple hours taming to flat. Sew from wide edge to narrow in the most important thing I learned.
The first quilt was a commissioned quit for an office. Here is is.

The second time I used it was so much better. Here is a picture of the second use. Both had added appliqué.

I've never used the 9 degree spiral ruler and will have to check my supply up in the sewing room. I do like the spiral. I might have bought it at a quilt show. Have to check before I buy another.

Difficult to see but I love my tree skirt using Cheryl Phillips ruler.

I used the pattern from Phillips website last year. I made 2 of them for Granddaughters for Christmas. I had no problems. I liked them because they were bigger than the 35 inch ones I usually see.

Yes, I have made 2 Christmas tree skirts and the Mickey Mouse tummy time baby quilt shown. I enjoy using that ruler.

I used it years ago to make a couple skirts (people, not Christmas tree).

mine's a 10 degree but works the same way--just means 36 strips instead of 40 for the complete circle. I've done both the one that looks like giant Dresden and (more fun) the one on the back of the packaging that you make a strip set and then cut (flipping ruler back and forth) so that when you put them together you get a spiral bargello effect. Very simple to do both. unfortunately both gifted and didn't keep pictures of them
