"Sew Easy" treadle sewing machine?

There is a treadle sewing machine at my local shop, branded a "Sew Easy". It looks like a clone of a treadle New Home machine. I can't find any mention of this brand online. Anyone heard of it? This one is pretty dirty, and cabinet is in poor shape. The machine itself would probably clean up nicely. The shop wants $80 for it.

I went ahead and bought it because... of course I did.

It has three patent dates, the latest seems to be 1898.

Of course you had to save it. Looks like a National to me, not a New Home.

I would have bought it for the cabinet alone. I'm sure the machine will clean up and be an asset ...but that cabinet to me is priceless!!

What makes the cabinet special? I didn't think that treadle cabinets were that uncommon.

Sew Easy was a name used by Mason and White.

Where Mason and White related to one another? I can find information on White but not on Mason.

I forgot to mention that on the cabinet, there are no drawers on the right side. I am hoping it was just built that way.. It looks very lopsided as a result, though.

According to Needlebar.org

All A G Mason machines were actually manufactured by other makers including the

According the the Encyclopedia of Early American Sewing Mchines 3rd ED
A. G. Mason Manufacturing Company. A. G. Mason had been a general agent in Cleveland for the
Davis Sewing Machine company until 1903 when he began to manufacture sewing machines under his own name. He concentrated on building up sewingmachine departments in large retail stores. He gave
particular attention in his manufacture of sewing machines to producing medium-priced, high-quality
machines sold under special names chosen by the retail dealer. A. G. Mason died in 1916, and the company
became a subsidiary of the Domestic Sewing Machine Company.

Domestic later merged with White.

Naturally you had to buy it! It is beautiful and the drawers only on one side makes it sort of endearing. “Sew Easy” sounds like a “sold on tv” item, which if funny as is over 100 years old! HAVE FUN!

I got the cabinet part home today. It definitely used to have drawers on one side :(

What options do I have when it comes to repairing the cabinet? Maybe a project like this?
