some things that make me happy
when i do laundry - all the socks match up!
there is "just enough" of all the ingredients to make a recipe. when i run out of thread at the end of the seam. |
When I flip over my quilt at the end of machine quilting and it’s perfect! When I perfectly time my vegetables to my meat at supper time. I don’t like housework but I love it when it’s all done and the house is fresh and clean.

A fresh rotary cutting blade brings me joy. I never realize just how much extra pressure I've been having to use on an used blade until I change it out.
My boys are grown now, but when they were younger, it used to always make me smile when I would open up a package of Oreos and see my kids had saved 4 cookies for me...the exact amount they know I like to have. :) |

When I see DH on the driveway, headed home from traveling. Campfires. The occassional creative spark. |
A good book to read while the cat is curled up on my lap.
First warm enough day in spring that I can open all the windows after being closed up for winter. |

When my great grand babies look around me to see their great grampa. The look on their face is priceless!

Watching birds outside. Kisses from my parrot. Taking the grandchildren somewhere fun for them or doing crafts with them. Spending sewing time with my quilting "sisters" in the guild. |
Sitting here with sunshine streaming in my windows after a weekend of rain, sleet, snow and gray skies.

Sitting with my first cup of coffee, knowing I can take as long as I want because I no longer have to dash off to work.
