Help identifying quilt pattern
1 Attachment(s)
So glad to find this board! Thanks for adding me.
I have found a hand sewn 1950s quilt top but can't identify the block pattern. The pieces are all identical and are almost a bow (or nuclear reactor) shape. I bet you all will know it, and appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks! maxinecharles |
Those are known as apple cores. Welcome to the board.

What an apt name, thanks so much!

Welcome and although the pattern is apple core, I think nuclear reactor is a cute name too!

Hi Maxine, welcome to the board!
I really love those old fabrics. So cute! |
Apple core it is. And I remember my grandmother quilting with fabrics from the 50s.
|
I kind of like nuclear reactor!
