crown royal quilt

I had someone ask me to make a crown royal quilt from all of the bags that he has saved. I told him that I wanted to investigate before I told him yes or no

Are these bags decent fabric? can they be used just like other quilting fabric or will I have to interface them?

There have been multiple threads on making them and pictures of completed ones.

They are flannel. I put all my bags into a large mesh laundry bag and washed them then just dumped them into the dryer, they came out fine

They are kind of like working with flannel. Wash them first to see if you have any runners.

The bags are not consistent in size. I made one and had a time getting squares uniform. Also I noticed the gold trim is pretty fragile, I had a few unravel. I only made a lap size quilt and used other scraps that I had on hand. Came out great.

A word of warning about QB search - you may need to refresh the links on the search results. (It will take you to the page, but will not show the content text.) This can be done by using the refresh icon that is the circle arrow next to the address bar. The location of said icon is dependent on the device you are using.

I'm sorry, but refreshing does not work when a member gives a link to their search results... it has never worked that way.

For clarification - Mdegenhart search link would not work for others nor would my "search link". However, I was referring to https://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f...ml#post8230136 "I will search for the other threads" and knowing that when meyert did her own search that when she clicked on a link in the results that she would have to refresh the page to be able to see the content text.

I think that the links that I found from my search will work without refreshing. Such as
https://www.quiltingboard.com/pictur...t-t293870.html
https://www.quiltingboard.com/pictur...e-t301154.html
https://www.quiltingboard.com/pictur...t-t302768.html

I'm not sure if this one will work without refreshing

Something that may help is to put quotation marks around crown royal like
"crown royal"
this will help filter out some results that have nothing to do with crown royal bags used to make quilts.

Hope this helps clarify.
