Drunkard's Path Variation

1 Attachment(s)
I finished sewing together my variation of the Drunkard's Path. I saw this variation on another board and immediately fell in love. I only recently felt like I could master the curves in the Drunkard's Path and I have been going strong and hard to get this one done. I believe I posted a pic a month ago of my first DP. So this is the second one and very different from the first one. The plan is to have this one LA quilted. I am sure I will have a better experience that my last attempt because I am much more prepared.(The first and only time I sent a quilt out for LA it never came back to me.)
I am considering a white border but not sure on that yet. Anyway here is the picture

Lovely! I love those strong fabrics all playing together.

I can see a white border like the matting around a picture and it would really make the graphic nature pop.

I'd probably be looking for something more chocolate brown and subtle print, either simple yardage or preferably a collection of plain squares the size of your blocks but that's me and my scrappy nature.

Love it! Kudos to you for those little ones. I've tried and they are so hard. Great quilt. I'd keep the border one of the colors in the quilt or go with the darkest color. Actually, I probably wouldn't put on a border, just more blocks if you need it larger.

I love this, what a fun quilt. I know what a difference it made in my quilt making when I conquered curves. Great job!

Love the colors -

I think that something like the tan that the top is on now would be good for a border -or one of the dark colors.

Or no border.

Maybe if I see white as a border - ????

Wow, this is great.

I would be partial to a dark border or maybe a thin, dark "stop" border and then a wider lighter border.

So sorry to hear your first one never came back.
All that work. Hope this quilt comes back. It's wonderful

Cute top! I still have some of that green ivy fabric in my scrap stash. I would use whatever fabric would match the final furniture setting for my border.

Julia, what an awesome DP quilt! Those little circles are really hard for sewing the curves, too. You did a great job.
