Some pattern ideas please
 

I have some cuts of fabric from a line and need some advice for a quilt pattern. The top left sample is a large undersea print that has an 18 x 20 inch repeat. I previously used the print like a panel in the center of a quilt with a piano key border and additional borders in the orange, teal and shell prints. The end result was too busy because I did not use enough of the light aqua so that there was no place to rest my eyes. I only used it in the piano keys.

I can cut the big print into 9x9 squares and not lose a lot of the details. Does anyone have any ideas of a pattern that takes advantage of the large print, uses most of the other prints as well as more of the light aqua to produce a less-busy looking quilt. Thank you

Attic Window pattern? I'd personally see if I could cross that pattern with the effect of, like, a glass bottom boat (google "glass bottom boat" and take a look at the pictures to see what I mean) I think it could look really neat if done right.

Have you considered a 4 patch posey? Basically, you line up 4 repeats of your fabric and cut squares of +1inch more than you want the re-sewn squares to finish at. So, if you want 8 inch squares, You would cut 9 inch squares. Then you use these squares any way you want to make a quilt. This Pinterest page has a lot of good examples....almost too many.

This is an excellent example of a four patch posey even if Robert Kaufman gave it another name and he doesn't cut squares, he has you cut an X across the corners. This one is even inspiring me to go out and cut some fabric. Florentine Fantasy Free Pattern: Robert Kaufman Fabric Company

Edited to add: I would leave some of the fabrics whole so that you could see the original pattern and how it changes with each different cut.
