Favorite Quilt Magazine?

I'm thinking to ask my family for a quilt magazine subscription for Mother's Day. What are your favorites?

I gave up subscribing, so many of the good ones have died. 😞 Quilter's Newsletter and Machine Quilting Unlimited were my favorites. There are a couple of nice Australian magazines, but they can be expensive and/or hard to find, Australian Patchwork and Quilting is one. I also like Quilt Mania, but that's more eye candy and less how-to.

I like BH&G's American Patchwork & Quilting as well as Quilting Arts. Browse the ones in the grocery store and see which seems to meet your needs.

A very gift-worthy quilting magazine is QuiltFolk. Happens to be my favorite (and only) magazine subscription.

American Quilter. It comes with a membership in AQS.

Quiltfolk is my absolute favorite. A little pricey but great articles, quilt history, armchair road trip. No ads, quality paper and printing. Comes wrapped in plastic inside a cardboard envelope. I look forward to this every quarter. A keepsake of story books highlighting regional quilts and quilt makers.

Do you like Crazy Quilts, Kristi? I love the print to order "Crazy Quilt Quarterly". The first of the year, Winter 2021, isn't out yet but all of the previous ones are available for printing. https://www.magcloud.com/user/kitty-and-me. (I am not affiliated with this... I just drool over the images and try to crazy quilt after getting inspired by them).

Missouri Star Quilt Company's Block magazine. No ads, beautiful pictures, quilting related anecdotes.

It really depends what your preferences are. Good idea, to check some out at the library.

I've at various times subscribed to Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting, BH&G American Patchwork & Quilting, Quiltmania, and Today's Quilter. Of those, American Patchwork & Quilting had the most patterns I was interested in. When I began quilting I wasn't sure of my direction, but I am definitely now more interested in traditional than modern quilting, and they had the most of what I would call 'traditional' patterns, although one of the Fons & Porter ladies features a traditional quilt in each issue.
