Too much loved quilts....

About 25 years ago I started with patchwork: at that time no real patchwork fabric was available so I used the left over scraps from clothes sewing!
But these fabrics are not very solid and so it happens: they began to rip...
One of my first quilts I made for my daughter, she loves here quilt because there are many memories in touch with it!
But it begins to rip so I started a rescue mission!!! One block had to be renewed: because all fabric was decolored after such a long time I searched for similar fabric and I used the wrong side as right side because this side is much lighter!
I think now the quilt will stay for next 10 years...

You can tell just by looking that it's a very loved quilt.

I was so startled when I saw this quilt as it is almost identical to one my son had . My MIL made it by hand for him as a baby/little boy. He loved it SO much that I repaired it many times and finally it started to disintegrate. I took a picture of it for the scrapbook.
I encased it in new fabric, but it just wasn't the same. He was so sad, I asked him if he wanted to give it to a doggy who was cold and needed it. We went to an animal shelter and he picked out who would receive it, and everyone was happy.
