looking to find ruler storage bag pattern
Looking to find free pattern for sewing a ruler storage bag for cutting rulers that hangs on wall or pegboard. Saw one on Facebook that listed Quiltingboard as source. Can anyone help? I recently moved & setting up new to me quilting room & would like to make a ruler storage bag. TIA

Use any search engine you want and type this phrase "quilting ruler storage bag pattern free". The key is going to be what size ruler(s) you want to transport I would consider a bag where the rulers are encased so they can't slip out and you have pockets to put smaller rulers in. A flat bottom will give you space for other needs. If you take a smaller sewing machine, you might want to add enough space for it too.
I haven't made one but will at some point in time. Lots of ideas here. https://www.bing.com/images/search?q...1&disoverlay=1 |
Matybe didn't make myself clear, I'm looking for a hanging cutting ruler pattern, one that hangs on wall. over a door or on a peg board. I have multiples of a lot of large cutting rulers. I've had a wooden rack & didn't like it. Took up too much counter space for the number of rulers it held & was top heavy & tipped over too easily.

Just in case...
This is the link to the tutorial that wildyard wrote up for the hanging ruler holder posted by onebyone: https://www.quiltingboard.com/t-127807-1.htm#3397598 Have fun setting up your new quilting space Glad you found us! :) |
I think that there really isn't a pattern, as you would have different rulers then someone else. Here are some places to look:

Creative Notions had a "Farm Girl" hanging ruler holder in their monthly subscription recently - check their website or call them, it may still be available in a kit. It was for pattern and fabrics - don't know if pattern is available separate. It was an over-the-door, ruler storage. I still have it in my stash somewhere & can share particulars if you can't obtain it.

Update to my post re Creative Notions - apparently there are quite a few businesses with that name.
The one I'm referring to is located only in Salina, Utah at (435) 668-3425. Their new website is: https://www.creativenotionsquiltshop.com/ |
It looks like the one there is https://www.creativenotionsquiltshop...order=name+asc but is actually https://www.byannie.com/ruler-wrap
Can be used to hang or wrap and carry. Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do. Not affiliated with off-site link(s) |
