Garlic knot
Hi..haven’t been one ages..wondering if anyone is familiar with a Garlic knot pattern? As near as I can fathom, it’s just small square blocks organized a certain way..or am I missing something?

Bonnie Hunter had a pattern some time ago in her Addicted to Scraps column. Check her website for details - quiltville.com

I love the garlic knot pattern. I think that the original was by Bonnie Hunter....at least that is the first one I've ever seen. Villa Rosa has a very simular one called "Puzzled" made with 5" squares and 2 1/2" squares.

At first sight, when I saw "garlic",
I thought that this one should be in the Recipe section! Glad that curiosity got this cat! :) @patricej Thanks for the link ... and inspiration! Looks like this would be a good scrappy-user-upper-project ... ... and with lots of layout possibilities, to boot! Win-Win! |

I am pretty sure there was a pretty one done by sewbizgirl here on the pictures section.

Never heard of this block before now but wow, what a versatile block. I can see spending a lot of time colouring squares trying out various combinations.
