Quilting Mojo waning.. but trudging on

Although I've not been very drawn to my sewing room lately, I have worked on a few projects. One project (two quilts) needs to get finished for Christmas but I'm dragging my feet.. ugh. These are matching batik tops that need borders. I've already got the borders and binding The backings (not made yet) will be different, one with purples and blues, the other with purples and pinks. They are for my daughter and her BFF that are also roommates at college.
My MILs group had a challenge block from Kaye England's "A Civil War Legacy" pattern. Lastly, my forever ongoing scrap project, a Jacob's Ladder. There are several blocks not on the design wall - this was taken at retreat a few weeks ago. I'm wavering back and forth from finishing it as a king size or making 2 couch quilts for the den.

Wonderful projects. Even working a little bit as the mood strikes will progress each project.

Sometimes it helps to hunker down on one project and get it done, out of the way, goal accomplished.

My mojo has been gone for months. I just let it be and don't push it. The other day I had an inspiration and went to a quilt store and got fabric. I have been busy, but, am now wanting to work on a project again. Mine routinely comes and goes and I just go with the flow.

You say your mojo is waning, yet you've accomplished all of that. By comparison, I accomplish less while maintaining my passion. Find yourself a project that feels inspiring and bring it to the forefront. Meanwhile, celebrate the completion of these.

You may be overwhelmed by all of your projects, done, to be finished, and future projects. Everyone gets burned out once in a while, but take heart, your mojo is not lost. Give yourself some self-care, take a break, and give yourself some space. The next time you find a great fabric or pattern, who knows - you might find that mojo spark again!

Wow! Those WIPs are just amazing. I'd say your mojo is alive and well! I especially love the ongoing Jacob's Ladder. Have been thinking about a project like that or perhaps Jewel Box for a winter project. All three of your designs are great inspiration for me - my mojo has been waning also. Guess i need a challenge and finishing things already on the slow go isn't it!

Your quilts are beautiful! I love the 2 quilts for the college girls. I think I'm going to try and make one of those blocks. Keep on - you're doing a great job!
