I can't remember where I saw this but it works.
Gloves get in the way when you need to rethread or cut but this gives me the freedom to do both. Use non-slip shelf liner, cut a piece to fit your hand and off you go. Give it a try it really works

Clever......and I have some of that stuff......think I'll give it a try next time as I hate pulling off my gloves to do "anything".

What a great tip! I also use a piece of that under my foot pedal to keep it from sliding around.

Your quilt is excellent. The owner will be happy to have it. I'm thinking I might like to stitch 2 pieces of the shelf lining into a pair of gloves. My hands sweated so bad in the latex gloves I quit trying to use them. I didn't know they made sewing gloves. I might invest in a pair of those soon and still use your shelf lining idea as well. Thank-you for posting.

Good tip! I have a roll of that stuff stuck under my kitchen sink and it's amazing how many uses I find for it.
