My family is on a high protein diet and I usually cook 2 dozen egg whites but we don't eat the yolks too often. Does anyone know what to do with the left over yolks? I give my dogs a few for their coat. Sometimes throw them out to the birds and critters.

There is a cake in the Old Betty Crocker Cookbook called
Sunshine Cake that takes over 12 yolks. It is the companion
to a Angel Food Cake. It is a winner and great PotLuck dish
to take to Church Suppers. They also freeze well. The bird
would like them better in the winter when food is scarce.

I have a home made noodle recipe that calls for 8 to 9 egg yolks. I keep the yolks in the freezer and when I have enough I make noodles. If the noodles are not on your diet, they also freeze. Lots of us in our church donate frozen noodles to our local rescue mission. We cordinate it so we are giving them 20 or more quart bags at a time. We also donate chicken and chicken broth.

You can also cook the yolks for your pets.

I can't speak for Bubblegum, but the reason I don't use the yolks is because of cholesterol issues, so all the uses in pies, cakes and custards don't do me any good! The birds enjoy them so at least they don't go to waste.

I would make a gold cake.

Make Lemon curd! or custard!

You can freeze them seperately by using ice tray.After they freeze remove them from the tray and put in a ziplock bag and use them as needed.
