I just got in some books from Hamilton's ...one of them is the Hobo Quilt. Has anybody done that quilt? It is a neat looking quilt.

It's on my "to do" list but I haven't yet. I've researched more of the symbols because I want to make mine bigger.

I just read about those - there is a lot of symbols that the Hobos used to mark their way and let their compadres know about the good, the bad, and the ugly of each region. A nice bit of history.

If you google it, you can come up with lots of signs....the book was half price at Hamilton's.

That is my next project after I finish The Farmer's Wife.

I saw this book at the bookstore last week....I want to do it, but the book is pricey and our library doesn't have it. Maybe one day. Glad you got a good deal on it!

I just saw an article about the symbols somewhere!!!!!!

I knew about Hobo symbols, but had no idea that they had been incorporated into a quilt. Sounds fascinating...I will definitely check this out.

Ros,
I just goggled & had no idea, but that's neat. Be sure to post pics when you get yours done.
