...use binding on a baby bib? I was following a pattern that didn't use binding - it was one where you ended up turning it inside out at the end - but I messed up and it ended up being so the only way I could save anything would be to quilt like a regular quilt.
So my question is - are you supposed to/allowed to use binding for a baby bib? Or would that in someway be bad for the baby? I just hadn't seen a pattern where it used binding... The original pattern (which I deviated from) can be found at http://sewshesews.wordpress.com/2010...-and-tutorial/ |
I think it would be fine. Looks like a really cute bib!

I would use binding.

I can't think of any reason that you couldn't use binding on the bib ... it looks very cute!

Binding is perfectly fine. I my day that is all we had.

Whew, thanks ladies! I was afraid I'd done all that quilting for nothing...not that I guess it was a lot of quilting compared to a blanket! ;) Still, I'm relieved.

I thnik no matter what you doing it will look good. yoi can do a strip and cut it on the bias it make a great binding.
you could even leave it lorg so you can tie it. I had 6 bibbs they were store bough not like yourhand made. Since mine were plan I machine Emb some design on the front of the bibbs |
I think I'd make sure to cut the binding on the bias so it will go around the curves better.

I don't see why not, it wouldn't be any different than putting binding on a pot holder. So long as it well secured it'll be just fine.
*edit* btw cute bib :) |
