Show me what's on your design wall right now...
I just finished a queen-size quilt and waiting for my ordered batting to arrive before I can put my next quilt in the frame. Time to do some scrappy sewing and use up some of the scraps... So I've been making 6.5" scrappy log cabin blocks... |
Awe, so cute, I love that, can't wait to see finished quilt! I don't have a design wall, I just put on those clip hangers and hang on a door frame!

Not that I'm actually working on anything, this stuff is just there for lack of a better place for it.

Right now nothing but strings and a few pins. :D

I have a year's worth of sampler blocks demanding to be assembled. I am tired of resorting to sashing and cornerstones. :-(
Anyone have any ideas? Sorry, the colors are a little off. |
I don't use a design wall, not enough wall space. I usually lay out as much as will fit on my table, not very big. I usually follow a pattern and when I'm done, I am amazed.

Mine is folded up in a drawer! I bought a really nice curtain rod to hang it on and that is as far as it has gotten done since I moved to the new room! LOL!
On the upside I have been quilting my little heart out today on a runner. |
How about putting a "border" all the way around a group of four or more blocks in the center-then use another row of blocks around the outside of that border.
This is a little different arrangement. I did one and I like the way it turned out. |
I just looked at your blocks again-If they are fairly large size
blocks and you only have 12, perhaps use fewer for the center group before adding the border. |
