Hi! My name is Dinah. I have been quilting for a long time, but somewhere down the line I missed paper piecing. Don't mean to sound like a dummy, but I have no idea what paper piecing is. Could someone please tell me? Also, I need some opinions please. When my grandmother died at the age of 93 she had been piecing 2 quilts tops. I inherited them, but now don't know what to do with them. They have so much sentimental value & I'm torn between leaving them as they are or quilting them. Any opinions?

Quilt them. No one likes to leave behind an unfinished piece of art.
What to do then? That's a problem. I wore out the first totally hand done quilt my grandmother made for me. She took pity and made me a new one because I felt so badly. I haven't used the newer one much. One daughter recently reminded me that the children were allowed to use it when they were ill. What do I do with it now? It was on the back of a rocker on my room, but was removed because of the constant cat hair. The cat is gone, so it could go back there even though it doesn't match the room. |
