This seems to be drafted on a grid that is six units wide by four units high. I've drawn three possible ways to piece it. bearisgray Staggered Flying Geese Line Drawings |
Now that looks like it would be a very cool border!! Thanks for graphing that out!

that would look great. Is there a picture of it on a quilt somewhere :?: :D

I see a paper pieced block in there too. Trying to think of a way to number the blocks so they appear on here. My scanner is out of commission

ok so the printer is fried....or its mad at the computer. Now don't laugh, I know this looks silly but I used Windows Paint to do up the paper pieced block. Remember to reverse it if thats what you want it to look like face up.

trying this another way to see if it works. Quiltsoft 6 won't let me save the quilt as a jpeg.
|
that would work -
i think the "braid" could be paper-pieced also |
Bearisgray, I tried in Q6 but it won't let me reverse the block. The above post with the downloadable attachment would have to be reversed but it should print out to 4 by 6 inches finished. You'd have to add the seam allowance around the block.

I still draft my patterns on graph paper - haven't gotten a quilter computer program yet - but it is on my wish list.

See this "strippy" (I think that's the right term) quilt on this site:
It's called Migrating Geese and Cobblestones http://www.datquiltlady.com/class2.htm#MIGRATING%20GEESE%20AND%20COBBLESTONES: |
