How do YOU attach your quilt label?
I know I'm going to get a number of different ways and that's what I'm looking for. Pictures please... Thanks |
an easy label with only one side to sew by hand is to take a square and fold it in half to make a triangle. Stitch the triangle into the corner of the quilt and then you only have to hand stitch the folded side...no photo, sorry

I use a whip stitch to attached my labels.

I use a narrow width zigzag stitch, with a short stitch length, so it "almost" looks like "satin" stitch, but not quite as tight as a buttonhole. Does that make sense? ;-)

I attach my labels to the backing using a blanket stitch before I start quilting, then I quilt through it.

I forgot all about the label... the quilt is done, binding and all.
This quilt has been a learning experience... next time it's going on first. |
This would work if you are machine quilting but it would be a real pain if you are hand quilting like I do.
|
I put my hand written label on with a blanket stitch in contrasting pearl embroidery thread after the quilt was finished.
