Curious about deletion of post
I was just wondering ..a post I clicked on was deleted...invalid ......but the title intrigued me, so I thought I might try to reach the poster with a PM...looked up in membership, did not find the name, how did post get in from nonmember? Just curious...was in resources about HSTs......

it may be that the poster was banned, therefore, you would not be able to locate the poster in the membership list

I've been trying to open the 'what two tools are these' or something to that effect for two days

An Invalid Thread is one that has either been:
-moved and the redirect has expired;
-merged and the redirect has expired; or
-deleted because it did not comply with policy
A closed thread is one that remains visible but can’t have new comments added.
I recommend you skip the links lists the emails lead you to.
They do not update themselves when something is moved or deleted.
Go, instead, to the Home Tab, to the Archive link at the bottom of the page, or to What's New.
