Default Empty Folder?

I looked at my notifications and I have deleted down to 33 messages in my inbox but it now says I have 360 stored out of 500 . It also has (empty folder) . What does empty folder do before I pressed that?

Empty Folder empties All of your messages. So if you are in your Inbox, all of those messages will be deleted. Then you would have to do the Sent folder separately, as Patrice said. Like you, I like to keep my most recent messages in each folder, so rarely use Empty Folder.
