Default How to post a picure

I don't understand the attachment directions. I can browse and click on the picture I want from my laptop but from there I am lost! Thank you for any help.

Some people can post pictures here super easily and some of us have more problems. The Help section here has different avenues to explore:
    https://www.quiltingboard.com/vbulle...lp-center-f27/

For me, I have an aging digital camera with aging (non-updated) software and I am going to try to make the leap into taking pictures with my cell phone.

But I've never been able to get the paperclip option to work for me here. What I do is type up my message and save it (just a ctrl c or highlight and copy, not a command on the post)... because sometimes you get kicked out, the use the Go Advanced button below the post.

Then, in the middle of the options you can manage attachments. I have to CTRL click to open that because of my browser protections. From there you can access your download or other directory with the picture. You may need to widen up the window to the far right to see the actual Upload button.

The file size amounts are... generous? and include all possible attachments. Try to be around 1k for the picture file size. To get there, I have to reduce my pictures (before coming into type up my message). I use this site below and have for years, although now they have payment options (I'm not quite sure for what), I have always used for free.
    https://www.reduceimages.com/
I use their suggested reduction and remember to click the download (that's a drag the picture and two clicks).

    edit: Minor typos,

This is how I post pictures from my iPad.

    Click “Manage Attachments”
Click “Choose File” but don’t click upload yet
    Click Photo Library”
Click the funny little sliders button in the bottom corner
Click Medium, then click “Done.” This forces the resize of your picture so it will post!
    Now choose your photo
Add up to four more pictures, then click “Upload”
    Click “Close this window”
Add whatever text you want to include in your post, then click “Submit Reply.” Do NOT click preview!

    Hope this helps somebody!

I can finally resize my photos to about 1.7 mg and really think they should be larger, but then when I want to post them the paperclip icon is gone so now what? Tried clicking on the photo icon and nothing happened. I really dislike changes to my computer!

@wesing What a great post with pictures!

@LGJARN52 Are you going into the Go Advanced screen? I don't think the paper clip shows in the quick reply view.

Also, just as general knowledge we only have about 5 minutes to edit a post to add a picture or whatever.

Thank you, wesing, for the great instructions with pictures. I do have a question though. Do you get a window like this after you click on upload? I know sometimes it takes a bit for my pictures to be attached after I have clicked on upload and seems like if I close that window, it won't attach, but I always wait until I get a window like this:

I am able to use the paper clip icon after I have clicked on "Go Advanced" button or click on the red "Reply" button.

You're correct about not being able to get the paper clip icon in the quick reply view.
Actually, you can edit for 20 minutes, but I have tried to edit at 18 or 19 minutes and by the time I actually edit, it will say I can't as time expired while I was typing.
