Posting Photo's??
Please feel free to move this if it's in the wrong location. Would someone care to explain to me the new way of posting photo's/ I've tried it the old way and it isn't working for me. Do I do it as an attachment instead. I'm so confused and I bet others are also.

When you use this option, after you select the picture from your computer, be sure to scroll all the way to the right of the box to click on Upload.

I have had the same frustration. I enjoyed sharing my photos from time to time but I still have not had any success since the changes have been made to the platform. Sigh

There is a pdf explaining the new way to attach photos at Including Images and Attachments (as of 24 Jan 2020)

i won't pretend to be 100% thrilled by the new way to upload photos.
still, i am happy that we still have the option to add photos or information files to our threads and comments.
i've heard from more than one reliable source that not all sites allow such a thing.
i confess to forgetting there are new things to remember ...
if you are posting a photo into the first post/comment in a new thread, you have to remember to use the paper clip icon and go through the steps to find and upload your image file(s).
if you want to add a photo to a new comment your are posting within a thread already started, you have to remember:
-to either use the big red "reply" button instead just jumping in to add the comment; or
-to "go advanced" if the paper clip is not already visible in your comment window.
after that, it's fairly easy to attach your image so it appears at the bottom of your post text.
if you want to insert the image within the body of your text, it's a bit trickier.
but, as OurWorkbench pointed out, there is an illustrated, step-by-step guide.
it's been there since very shortly after things changed.
everybody who hasn't already should take the time to review all the threads and posts here, in the QB Help Center since the New Year. Definitely since the 6th of February.

I'm using Firefox plus a collection of scanners and blockers and I don't get the paper clip icon to work. Plus I'm using an older digital camera and not a smart phone.
So just like before, I click on the "go advanced" button. In the middle of the list of options I have one for attachments, it is subtle and blends in with the others!
From there I get my upload screen but for me it still defaults to the old vertical layout, I have to resize the window to a horizontal layout to actually have the Upload button to click. One of the options that comes up is your downloads folder.
Before I post I have already reduced my picture's file size using the defaults provided here:

It is a free site (no affiliation) that does not set off my virus scanners and doesn't do much but does this excellently! Once I reduce the image and download it from there it is ready to be uploaded here.

Thank you everyone for explaining further the process for adding photos - I really do appreciate all the efforts by all! I will be trying again this week to post photos to my discussion threads. I have tried a few times and have been frustrated - I am not confident in my computer skills and have been very intimidated by the changes. Hopefully as I try the suggestions given I will find it easier.
Again Thanks to everyone
