Also, has anyone else noticed that the Main and Pictures section contain the majority of the same threads? When I notice that a few have gone through old posts and commented, I check the dates of the original thread and only go into Today's or Yesterday's where I can read the ones I haven't yet. Then I end up in Archives and spend more time here than down sewing.

I see old posts and I also see the same questions asked several times by different people. I also use the archives.

But I can also tell which ones I've already looked at as they are purple and the others are blue. |
I sorted each section that I visit in time order of the original posts, then saved the links in favorites. That way I always see the latest posts, not those that have been commented on most recently.

Any new comment brings a post up the list. Many times newer people on the board go through and catch up on what they have not seen before.

I am guilty of leaving comments on older post but that are new to me.
with thousands of new posts every day, it stands to reason we might not have time to get to every one. if it's new to one person you can bet it's new to others, too. :) |
I see no problem with older posts coming up to the front page. Most of them a worthy of a second look. Life throws you curve balls. Check the original posting date if this is a problem for you.
