Can't post with Firefox browser
 

In just the past few days I have not been able to post or create a thread while using the Firefox browser. In order to post or start a thread I have to go into my Brave browser.
Adding photo's is not possible through the Firefox browser either. I have not changed any setting in either browser pertaining to this forum. Like I said, this has been going on for a few days now.

I've been having the same problem on my laptop at home. I have to change to another browser to post on QB. Strangely, I'm at the office now and can post on my desktop here. I don't know if my laptop updated and something changed. More computer weirdness.

It is interment, I have the same problem I have to hit the reply button first and some times it will work. But the normal reply area at the bottom of the thread isn't active.

Very frustrating

I've found that refreshing the page will help sometimes.
Firefox needs to fix whatever they broke with their last update.

i use firefox exclusively for the QB and most other sites i use.
i haven't had any problems.

I didn't know Firefox was still an option. It's been years since I've used that one.

I've also been having some weird issues with this forum on FF this week, mostly similar to what others have posted. I've rebooted a few times and seem to be able to post right now, but an hour ago I couldn't, even with refreshing the page multiple times. If you haven't yet, try restarting your machine. It may not fix everything, but it can't really hurt. :-)

I am a Firefox user and have had some minor problems. I was prevented from posting or responding to posts for about 12 hours. All is well now. No problems with Firefox on other sites. I am wondering if one of the updates has a minor glitch that impacts how it views the formatting/design of the QB? I haven't had any problem uploading photos.

Okay, now I'm having a really strange problem. Sometimes it lets me post and sometimes it doesn't. Crazy!

OK, I tried to respond to this thread using Firefox a few minutes ago and could not although other threads did allow me to submit a response to the post. So, I switched to Chrome. Yup, here I am. Weird. No other Firefox problems just the intermitient posting problem here on Quilting Board.

I'm having exactly the same problem. I can respond to some threads, but not to others. I use Firefox regularly and haven't had problems anywhere else. I'm using Edge now to post on QB. Not my favorite browser but it works for this.

ah, maybe that is why I cannot get photos to post either. odd but I will check that out. thanks!!!

Has any one found a solution to this FF problem? It seems to be getting worse. I no longer get the daily messages each morning, can't post responses and can't add attachments. The option to add an attachments isn't even there.

Wowzer! I can actually post this message via FF today! I have not been able to post via FF for about a week now. Hopefully it will also let me post to other threads. Fingers crossed. I have no issues with any other sites with FF and have not done a FF update in forever so it must be something on the QB side.

If you haven't run any of the FF updates you should. that might have solved the problem.

My Firefox updates itself automatically. I checked and I'm updated. I still can't respond on this computer and since my work computer has died, I'm having to use Edge for QB. That's mostly why I haven't been here as much.

I have a really old version of FF and have only had one problem. Yesterday, when I signed on, QB was not looking like it usually does. I signed out and ran CCleaner and everything was back to normal and I could post. I haven't posted pictures since August 3rd but had no problem.

Still having problems, there are times I can post or reply via Firefox then try again to post or reply moments later and I can't. I replied to this thread through the Brave browser. Also my Firefox is up to date too.

I use Brave also.

Yeah I think using a different browser, such as Brave, is the best workaround until Firefox gets their stuff figured out. There's nothing Patrice or the tech guys can do on the back end. It's a Firefox thing. I've been using Firefox Nightly and have been able to post normally the last 2-3 days.

I have been able to post for the last few days, I update my FF and virus checker regularly. I noticed that windows did an update recently, and that may have re set everything.

I was able to post with FF yesterday to this thread but no others. Currently using different computer/browser so I guess I'm good for the moment. I don't think it's a FF issue. I think it's a QB issue with FF. I don't have issues using FF with any other sites at all.

quick reply works, but still not able to do photo. maybe that will come back with time. i tried to get my son to help but he just fooled with it and left as is. sigh. But i'm patient.

Sorry to hear about all the posting issues. We're currently looking into this and will update once we know more.

EDIT: After initial tests, it's clear Firefox is having some problems. I would recommend trying another browser such as Chrome until we can get things working again.

I discovered that I could post responses to threads when using Fire Fox but not post photos. I click "Go Advanced" to add a photo but there is no radial button to add an attachments/photos. Getting better, but if I want to share a photo, I must use Chrome.

I am back to being able to post most of the time when using Fire Fox. Still no daily posting from the board each morning, but will keep waiting and just log in on my own. Oh, well.

Just curious when you "Go Advanced" do you get the paper clip icon as seen at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...p-location.jpg and have you tried that?

My work computer died so I've been working from my laptop at the office. I tried today and apparently I can now post from Firefox without a problem either at home or at the office. Yay!
