Go to the top of the page where it says Settings, go into settings and then look down the left side of the page to My Account - go to the General Settings Tab. On right under Messaging and Notification you will see "Default Thread Subscription Mode" change that to Instantly Using Email and then go to the bottom and save it. I've been receiving emails fine, hope this helps.

SO, this is a test to see if I am doing it right.

rexie 11-06-2011 08:18 PM

I went to the Settings..then My Account...then clicked a bunch of o's and now I am awaiting my first e-mail.

Can anyone tell me why the avatar pictures are fuzzy?

Sheila_H 11-06-2011 08:43 PM

Rexie did you remember to change the setting to say send emails? I guess we will find out if you get this msg lol

rexie 11-07-2011 05:39 AM

Yes, I changed everything that I understood what it was saying. I did get this message. I guess there are a lot that are slow to respond cause they haven't had time to figure it out.

Something that's a big +

I have discovered something I LOVE about this new QB...when there are posts on your subscription, you get the email (as before) that there have been added posts since yours. But, now, it lists them on your email notification & you don't HAVE to go to the board right then to read them. Sometimes I don't have alot of time to spend on the computer (and what I have now is spent trying to learn the new site), so this helps ALOT. Good job on this one!!!

Yes a huge  this is my favorite addition/change :)

The new Forum, what I now miss

I miss the highlighted link to click in the e-mail notifications when additional post are made to a thread , I now have to copy and paste to go to them !!!

SueDor 11-08-2011 04:54 AM

I miss them too. I hope they can fix somethings that people complain the most about.

I think there is a place to check to get them to show up, maybe under the My Profile at the top of main page or under the settings. Just go poking around and you can find different things. You wil get use to this change.

SIGNATURE and REPLAY MESSAGES

I did not receive any messages any more regarding others reply , and my signature is not appeared any more only an address .
What is wrong?

mzzzquilts 11-08-2011 02:59 PM

Hello there,
1. The special signature feature (those hosted at remote sites) have been disabled on the board.
2. Click on settings up top, then general settings on the left on the next page...scroll down to "default thread subscription mode", and use the drop-down to choose how you want to be notified, and don't forget to scroll to the bottom and tell it to save changes.

I'm very confused by this site now. It used to be great to get on here and ask a question or make a comment but I'm totally lost with all this change!

E-mails

Are we no longer getting e-mails when our posts have been answered, or is that just me. Short of going back several days finding my posts is there an easier way.

If you go into "settings" (top right of screen) you can opt to receive emails when your posts are answered. Or when you reply to a post, if you click on "go advanced" rather than "post quick reply", you can do it there too.
I'm finding that it usually, but not always, works!
