What is the difference between the rankings, i.e. Super Member, Senior Member?

MIJul 11-02-2011 10:33 AM

Age? LOL.... just kidding...... I'm listed as Senior, but I'm not 55 yet.....

CarrieC 11-02-2011 01:33 PM

I'm curious too - I promise I tried to find the information on my own! Thanks in advance, I imagine you're in boxes are overflowing with questions.

ptquilts 11-02-2011 01:53 PM

anyone got an answer to this one yet?

Sadiemae 11-02-2011 01:55 PM

I doubt that Patrice has had time to give us this information yet...I think she is pretty busy.

MistyMarie 11-02-2011 01:57 PM

I was just wondering the same thing. Fortunately, I had a snow day today... so no work. It is giving me time to explore this new board and I just started looking for the answer to this question... I'd love to know too.

Jates 11-02-2011 02:00 PM

I'm wondering if it's something to do with the number of posts one makes? Note the "Super Member" has over 1000 posts. I'm just guessing....

Yes, but I saw a member that has over a thousand posts and she is listed as a "regular" and not a super member. Then, others are senior members that haven't been here that long, so is it age related? Hmmm.

0tis 11-02-2011 02:27 PM

I just found out I am a Super Member - perhaps it is along the lines of "super hero" I haven't the faintest idea.

Vanogay 11-02-2011 04:37 PM

I'm relatively new to the board, so will post and see what I come up as - should not be senior in any way, although I am definitely a senior otherwise!!

Mom2aej 11-02-2011 04:41 PM

If its like other boards I've seen its based on the number of posts

nance-ell 11-02-2011 04:41 PM

Based upon experience on other forums, I'm pretty sure it's a function of number of posts. Things have been evolving all day, so I think that's why someone saw "regular" earlier today. I'm sure the "key" to understanding will be posted in time.

sarahrachel 11-02-2011 04:45 PM

Found it! It's in the rules of conduct or something like that sticky post on the QB Help Center post

Member 0 - 00
Junior Member 100 - 299
Senior Member 300 - 999
Super Member 1,000 – 9,999

butterflies5518 11-02-2011 04:46 PM

Awesome, thanks for the answer!

alikat110 11-02-2011 06:25 PM

It is based on # of posts and listed in general board rules.

Who saw my birth certificate??? Do I get a discount now??? LOL

I used to be regular...now I'm a Senior Member. Is that better? I can't find the rules and general stuff.

Crafty1 11-03-2011 02:16 AM

haha, now you upgraded to a Super Member!

gollytwo 11-03-2011 02:33 AM

I laughed when I read your post
Glad they switched to Super

ptquilts 11-03-2011 03:52 AM

yes, what does banned mean? I have seen that as well.Is it true you can get banned for things you say in PM's?

mhansen6 11-03-2011 04:01 AM

I am happy to be "Super". At least I am super at something.

BarbO 11-03-2011 04:04 AM

I was wondering about the member titles too. I was a regular member and now I am a junior member. I have looked for the details on what it means, but cannot find it. I thought I had, but when I clicked on the link it came up to an invalid path page. So can someone tell me?

mandyk 11-03-2011 04:46 AM

Well I'm now a senior member. Fits my age!

Thanks bunches for posting it had been a mystery to me!!! Apparently then, the number of posts in a given time frame as it WAS is no longer in place. Previously didn't it disappear if you were inactive for a period os time?

CarrieC 11-03-2011 07:06 AM

Thank you for the post! I haven't had the time to poke around!!!

I also wanted to say - I rather like the new board. It will take some time getting used to it but I can see lots of possibilities!!!!

Thank you moderators!!!!

Thank you, I was looking for the answer too. Guess I am not very good at posting messages, but I read this board everyday.

sarahrachel 11-03-2011 08:16 AM

you're all welcome for the answer. I kind of like poking around and looking at all the new features.

This has been rumored off and on since I first joined. The answer, "Who knows????" My motto, don't write anything down that shouldn't be read!

Where do I find out what these new things like "Super member" etc mean?

I am so totally confused by this new quilting board, I hope I can hang in here long enough to get the hang of it, but i am totally frustrated at this point. So many things to figure out all at once.

lynnie 11-03-2011 10:07 AM

i feel the same way, i think super member means you're here alot

gollytwo 11-03-2011 10:10 AM

I spent hours this morning clearing PMs - down from the 700s to the 300s and they still won't let me send a PM.
Am very frustrated

feedback rating

I found it useful to see what percentage of positive and negative feedback a person received, but that seems to have not transfered over to the new site.

mzzzquilts 11-03-2011 11:17 AM

I just clicked on your feedback score of 28 (it's blued so that tells me it's a link to somewhere) and it takes me to a page that tells all the percentages like you're looking for :)

feffertim 11-03-2011 01:13 PM

yes it is there. Look under the picture of your avatar and click on the number shown in your feedback score
