My Pages issues
 

I don't know how to say what I need to say. I hope someone understands what I mean. I can't open the links that where saved as "my pages" like tutorials, recipes, websites, etc.

I also can't find my previous posts? I know I'm stupid!

I find the pages on my blog, whatever that means, but I'm not able to click them, because they are not highlighted as links like the old one. Please be very easy with the explanations. I'm not very computer smart, and at this moment so frustrated that I want to copy my links and just leave.

Please be nice to me, I don't feel like my usual self and I'm ready to snap! Give me some undeserved kindness, please pray for me! I did enjoy this site a lot, but now I feel lost and want to quitt! To many changes at once for me!

I agree with everything you stated. I can't "open" any of MY PAGES either & I'm spending too much time now trying to figure this new look out. It may not be worth my time...............

I also can't open my daily message. And when I google Quilted Paradise, most links come up with a variety of error messages.

Same problems here gan get into a few and others NO.
Alos wondering how to get the pictures from a tutorial when printing out page. I get all the directions and no pictures. If I try to print I get all the posts for that tut. HELP

I think that Patrice needs a pm from you with this problem....then, either she can explain how to do something or they can work on fixing it.

How do I open web addresses I saved in My Pages, aka My Blog?
 

I found the stuff I had saved in the old "My Pages" by going to "Blogs," then "My Blog."
I saved web address, but I can't open any of them. They are not highlighted in Aqua.
Is it just me, or is anyone else having this problem.

Where do we see the answers to the questions above????????? I can't find or access my bookmarks>>> Will the answer be on the post or in a different area???

I can now use MY PAGES- all the things I have saved there- except for the links attached to them..not computer savvy-don't know what else to call it. Anyway, that part still needs to be fixed. Thanks.

I 'm so lost ! Feel like I lost my best friend..can't find rescoures,main, recipes, etc.Chat jumps and flips all over the place ...help

Sandee and others, I agree with everything you say and I am computer literate so the problem has nothing to do with how smart we are. The other format was simple and straightforward, easy to navigate and find your way around. I had saved a lot of tutorials and pictures and now can't access them plus it didn't remember me and I had to sign up all over again. I do not like this format at all. It may result in some of us leaving and I hate that because I enjoy getting to know everybody. Sometimes change isn't for the better. My philosophy is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

SORRY I JUST READ ON ANOTHER POST FROM PATRICE How to see bookmarks I followed it thru settings & there they are . Just got lucky and found the post I have been on a few times today but have had a really bad headache due to to stress (family illness my Dad is very ill). Sorry if I ask the wrong question. But I am lost on this Board need to play a lot with it & not get excited. Think I'll just sew for a couple weeks then maybe try it again when I can think. I am very Sorry for repeating questions I'll try to read further.

Do we have access to "My Pages" from the old board?

Think I read you go to My profile (top of page) and then click on My blog.

Thanks. Some of my entries are not showing up. Do you know if only some were moved over?

Oh, me. too!!! I don't even know how I found this or if I will find it again. This is so upsetting. Not real computer literate and am thinking that if I could just find my pages and get the info off I will call it quits with the board. I'm so sad that all this change came about. It really is like losing a good friend.

Where did you find MY PAGES? I have spent an hour each for the past two days to become acquainted with the new site and can't find it. I love MY PAGES. I refer to it all the time. Thanks. I think there should have been instruction steps and maybe there are, but couldn't find even through searches.

OK. MY PAGES is under 'BLOGS" then under that "MY BLOGS". They are not alphabetic anymore & I've had no time to search thru & see if all of them are still there since they're out of order. I HOPE you see this message. It was my biggest fear to lose all I had saved!! GOOD LUCK! If you or any one else has ANY tips on how all this works, PLEASE post it!!!! We need HELP!!!!

Is it still possible to access "my pages" that I saved using the old form? TIA

You CAN get to your "MY PAGES" by going to "BLOGS" then "MY BLOGS". They're not alphabetical anymore but they should be there. GOOD LUCK! Your old my pages are now your blogs.

Click on the 10 where it says Blog Entries 10 under your name.

I can tell you a way to find your previous posts. It's kind of cumbersome, there might be a better way but I don't know what it is.

Click on "Member List" near the top of the page.

Under the row of letters, click on "search members".

Type in your own member name.

Then on the next screen that comes up, click on your member name.

At this point you will see something that looks very much like your profile page used to on the old site. You can see "latest posts" and "latest started threads".

When you "blog this post" now, is there anyway to put it into a specific category? I really liked having all my "recipes", "tutorials", etc. in one listing.

okay, sorry, but this is a public doc...i don't want to publish my pages... it is for my notetaking, memory helps, etc., how are you using it if that is what you are doing... there was no 'do not publish' button in the right place... it was only under a different area... the only choices we had were draft, publish now and publish later... this is not what my pages was...

"MY PAGES", are they here somewhere??

Go to "my blog" then click on "my settings". On the left hand side, click on "Permissions & Privacy". Here you can make it so only you can see your posts (at least I think only you can see them).

Even "My Pages" in the old format was open to the public if I'm not mistaken.....someone correct me if I'm wrong, please

nope, my pages was for us to take notes in...at least that was my understanding..

i went and tested and with all the permissions shut off, the entry still showed in the member's blogs list and even now, it shows and identifies it as deleted... this is not gonna do it for me...does anyone know of a private notes area...maybe there is a new name?

where is the current private notetaking area? i.e., the old My Page stuff... the information i store in My Pages is for me, and I wondered if there is a new area with a different name? I DO NOT want to blog this info...

In the FAQ and Comparison pdf's that PatriceJ provided in http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...A-t165963.html she explains that MyPages is being replaced by Blogs. Under your member name, you will see Blog Entries. If you click on the number after that, you will be taken to your Blog and you will find your MyPages information there.

I've been trying to find My pages where I stored all sorts of "stuff"....Help.

Go to the top by where you log out. Click "settings" that should take you to a page where on the left you see your bookmarks and subscriptions. You can also click on one of those and set it up for email notification if you'd like.
