Problem receiving digest

I haven't been able to get the digest for the past 2 days. When I click on the link in the e-mail, it looks like it is going to the site and it has the address but only get a blank screen. It was fine earlier in the week.

coopah 02-07-2019 06:03 AM

Same here. The icon on the iPad for QB is black. My iPhone acts normally to open the daily digest, but a blank screen shows. What gives? I had to go back to February 2 for any QB items to come up and open. Although yesterday I was on and all worked fine.

Same for me. Been two days. Can read regular way when I google it.

nuffsaid 02-07-2019 06:53 AM

This is also happening to me. I have a Mac and use Safari.

lindalou 02-07-2019 06:59 AM

I'm having problems too. Are you not doing the digest any more?

Nurse Jan 02-07-2019 07:29 AM

For the past two days I get a "this page isnt working" notice. It indicates and HTTP error 500, whatever that is.

Lady Diana 02-07-2019 07:38 AM

I'm getting an error 500, which is the site internal server. Sent complaint twice....no response

grammy of 6 02-07-2019 12:08 PM

I have not been getting the digest for months now. The only way I get to it now is through a link on my laptop. I don't know what I can do to get regularly again. :(

Battle Axe 02-07-2019 01:51 PM

I have to go in using "Pictures". Then I can navigate around. But I get the Error 500 as well. We were doing so good for so long.

judykay 02-07-2019 01:59 PM

I also have not been able to log on . I just posted a thread asking if any one else was having issues then I saw this post so here is an apology for posting what others have already posted. I finally got on in a very round about way but I am no seeing it the way I normally view it.

judykay 02-07-2019 02:01 PM

I just noticed at the top of this page is the "Login to you account" app that it wants me to down load. What is this all about. I don't like it and don't want to do it, don't need any more downloads, the direct way was working just fine.

Ginaky 02-07-2019 05:15 PM

When you get the page not found msg if you just delete all the stuff after .com it will open as it usually does.

KwiltyKahy 02-07-2019 07:00 PM

Didn't work for me. It just didn't open anything when I followed this suggestion. I am getting the error 500 also.

Joset 02-08-2019 05:37 AM

i just logged on

Little Lulu 02-08-2019 05:46 AM

Same here. I am glad to know it isn't just me or my computer. I use a MacBook Pro and Firefox. Is anyone getting any information on why it is not coming up. Like you all, if I google it, it comes up, but I do not like reading it like that. I hope they get it fixed soon.

nothing else in this thread is news.
this, however, is not something i've heard of before.

can you provide a screen shot?
or enough additional information for the techs to research it?
is it on your phone? pad?
make/model, please.
name of browser, please.

materialgrl 02-08-2019 06:22 AM

Same thing for me, I logged out and back in, but cant reach the site

Yvonne 02-08-2019 07:14 AM

I'm using an MacBook Pro laptop. The link leads to a blank page. Using Safari, if that helps

I use Google chrome

patricej 02-08-2019 08:12 AM

the digest page has been broken for a few days.
it has been reported.

if you can't get the Home page, or "What's New?", then that's a new problem.

grammy of 6 02-08-2019 08:27 AM

Patrice,
I have not been getting the digest for several months. No reason, one day it stopped coming into my email. What can I do to start receiving it again?

sJens 02-08-2019 01:21 PM

Is the problem ever going to be fixed or are we just out?

pocoellie 02-08-2019 04:36 PM

I've been having the same problem, the only way I've made it here now, is I goggled quiltingboard.com and that's the only way.

Yes, that will take to the Board -- which is what I'm on now -- but not to the Digest, which are selected posts ( the most popular I assume) in each category that come to some of us via email every day.

JanieW 02-08-2019 09:18 PM

Why don’t you just google quiltingboard.com ; bookmark/ favourite and then check it every day! Voila.

Me too. Have been going to the unsubscribe page and at the top of the page under the tabs is "daily digest" and I am accessing that way.

youngduncan 02-09-2019 04:05 AM

I, too, have been getting a server error notification for the past few days. I can go the main website and navigate around, but I really do look forward to reading the daily digest.

Patski-Mi. 02-09-2019 04:19 AM

Trouble receiving digest

Same here. I've been getting an Error 500 message for about a week now.

sept97 02-09-2019 04:23 AM

I asked this same question the other day and got shut off. I found the comment quite rude too

Lady Diana 02-09-2019 05:23 AM

None of your computers, tablets or phones are the problem. I finally received a note that explained it is their problem and they are working on it, but you can access the Digest here....it works! https://www.quiltingboard.com/resources/daily-digest-4/
...sorry tried to highlight for a direct connect.....so copy and paste in your url....it works.

marshaKay 02-09-2019 06:54 AM

Me too, me too. Don’ know who to contact. Just a blank screen. Not a problem getting the digest. Apple I pad,,,Apple 7S phone, Apple IMac computer. All the same problem. Chrome and Safari. Yahoo I can type in quiltingboard.com and then I have no problem. Please help fix the problem. Thanks.

patricej 02-09-2019 09:15 AM

if you paid attention to the information posted below each and every one of my posts, you'd know the proper contact eddress for matters concerning the emails and digest.

an easy - and permanent - solution is to never rely on either one.

The first and most important thing to remember is that the emails and digests are not the board.
They only list a smattering of the most viewed threads.
Those are rarely the newest threads and barely scratch the surface of all that's available here.

You don't need the emails in order to access the board.
You don’t need the digests, either.

To start at the Home Page, go to http://www.quiltingboard.com.

Want to see the newest threads? Go to http://www.quiltingboard.com/sitemap/.
That’s the Archive, which lists threads in reverse order - newest first.

Want to see the threads with the newest comments added?
Go to http://www.quiltingboard.com and then click on What’s New.

If you want to see the digests, go to
http://www.quiltingboard.com/resources/

You can add any or all of those links to your browser favorites/bookmarks, put a shortcut on your desktop, or (if you are a total QB junkie like me) you can make it your home page.

Try using the direct route.
You might find you like it better. :-)

Check your junk/spam folder.

If you cannot bear the thought of doing things the easy way, consider the following:

Even though you have asked to receive the emails, many services treat them like junk anyway.
They disable the links or send them straight to spam/junk.
They sometimes don’t make it through to user inboxes – not even to the junk folders.

Also, if you have not already added the QB to your email’s safe senders list, please do:

Please take the following steps to add a contact to your safe senders list:
1. Open your email account (example: AOL, Gmail, Yahoo! or Outlook).
2. Locate your “address book” or “contacts”.
3. Add [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected] to your address book or list of contacts.
4. Save your changes.

If your email program provides for it, also add [email protected], @lifestyle.ibemail.com and @quiltingboard.com to your list of safe senders (or the equivalent).
