Hello, I also am not a fan of the new format. Things that are annoying are the amount of display ads that now take up more of the page. I realize that ads pay to drive the site, but when the display ads run large banners across the top and down the right side, it severely hampers the amount of information that is pertaining to the QB to be read. Also the formatting of the headers is not good on the eyes (that teal green). And it's harder to find the pull down menu, the font is way too small for us older types to see clearly.
Originally the thumbnail pics were annoying, but in retrospect, they are easier to get a good look when enlarging them. Clarity seems to be better.
It does sound like the new format is a work in progress so I hope it improves as the issues are identified and dealt with. Change is hard, so once the format is resolved and improved, maybe a navigation FAQ could be posted in a prominent location.

there is already an FAQ link prominently displayed on the top menu.
it's been there all along.

everything else is already reported and on the list i sent to the techs.
most of the ads are the same size as before.
the top one, though ... holy smoke! that grew like crazy.

Question

What is the minimum browser requirements for the new software?

I don't know what's up with my home computers, but I can't get any to show the paperclip even in "advanced" Nor can I get any of the editing icons. I probably ought to update by browser FF, but tried with IE 11 on my Windows 8.1 laptop.
Tried on Windows 10 computer with Chrome 79 (and some more numbers), Edge, and FF 52. None came with editing "tools" in either Quick reply or advanced or by clicking the red top button.

Also the drop down list on the awful contrast bar (teal font on beige background ) ones that do not work are "Community", "Search", "Quick Links" The only "links" that works is "User CP", "New Posts" or "Today's Posts" depending if signed on or not and "Log Out" Seems silly to me to change the name.

The computer at work also has Chrome 79 ( and some more numbers) but it is showing the editing tools in quick reply and if go advanced it will show the "paper clip.

Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.

Other than the color which will eventually get worked out the only thing I miss is the top of page button that used to be near the bottom of the posts an not having to scroll quite so far down to get to the Forum jump link.
Yes I know if I scroll all the way to the bottom the button is there.

so I am on Safari right now but can try and test it with IE, chrome and FF tomorrow. If I disable JavaScript in the browser settings I get the exact symptoms you are describing. Once I reenable it works and I get all the editing and icon features. It sounds like either the individual browsers have each had javascript disabled or you may be running security software on your home systems that blocks JavaScript. You can do a web search for enabling javascript and the specific browser to get details on changing it.

That was one of my thoughts, too. I double checked and javascript is enabled.

I can play tomorrow on my Windows machines and see if I can recreate it. If I come up with anything I’ll PM you.
