Default Quilt of the Week

I'm just curious: Why does it seem that the Quilt of the Week is usually from a very old post (this week from 2007). The quilt is always lovely, but I just wondered how the choice was made.
Thanks.

It seems as if there are about 60 total quilts used in the display. They were picked several years ago. With a relatively few amount of quilts (compared to the number of members here), each one is again "the quilt of the week" approximately 1 year later.
I would love to see a few more (or a lot more) put on display.

Go to the board's "Home" page. QOTW shows up on the right of the page. (Click the "home" tab toward the top of whatever QB page you're looking at.)

Please please add some new quilts to be named Quilt of the Week. The current one showing has had the honor every year since 2012, so this is the fourth time. (Look at the dates of the comments.) (and I am reviving this thread for the same reason.)

There are so many quilters here showing their photos that it would really honor this site and the creative spirit of the quilters to show more as Quilt of the Week, not the same ones over and over.
Yes, we notice.
