I keep making sure I am subscribed not only to the TOPIC< but to the sections as well and still I NEVER get a notice of a topic being posted!
Just how do you ever find out when NEW things are being posted?

I always go to the Thread Tools and check that I'm subscribed to the thread sometimes I am and sometimes not, and I double check I've got email instantly don't know if that's much help. I'll try subscribing to this one and we'll see if other's respond too

I don't think you want Daily as you'll only get the response once probably in a condensed list of all the threads you subscribed to, I have mine set to send instantly by email

Have you subscribed to the FORUMS you want updates on yet? If not, here's an excellent thread describing how.

I have exactly the same problem. I set up forum notifications as described in the tute linked in the post above. Nothing happened. I have posted three times on here asking for advice about it and so far nothing works.
I think this new set up just does not deliver what it promises. This is especially disappointing when we keep getting told not to miss the old board because the new board has "so many great new features".
I hope someone does fix this bug eventually.
