Well, this one will be interesting. The concept is cool. I think one of my fabrics will work for this. We'll see how it goes anyway. I'll keep an open mind for now. 😁

I didn't think my fabrics would lend themselves to fussy cutting either, but, actually some of them did. I'm not sure I turned the center blocks the right way. I think it should have looked more like a four-patch-posey and would have been more interesting. I'll have to consider if I want to try it again or not.

Great block, DJ!
I’m considering my options. I’m relying primarily on a couple of FQs, layer cake and 2 charms for this BOM. I hate to waste fabric fussy cutting —- esp since my fabric collection doesn’t really offer anything interesting to make it worth it. I considered and rough sketched a mirror block this morning. But your block inspires me to go back and try to be in the spirit of the Quilt Jane post. Hmmmm

Here is my block. The flower was the most interesting opportunity for this block, but I couldn’t get 3 identical blocks out of the fabric. So I made do with what I had. Not perfect .... but I like it anyway.

DJ, I think I prefer a 4patch posie! I'm not going to set the center patches the way recommended. I guess I'll rebel on that. :-p

BRBeverly, I think your block is a good way to use what you've got, and I can see why you're satisfied with it. It's very nice. I like the odd man out!

Duckling, Your zigzags look great-- and the light/dark/similar colors bring the pattern to view very nicely.

None of my fabrics I could fussy cut to make the block so I did made this block. I cut the striped fabric to make the center block.

Blueridgebeverly, that's very pretty. It looks like you fussy cut your border as well? Nice!

Queenbarbiej, that's very inventive and interesting!

QB, cool block. Your center block is great. I can’t believe how precisely you matched those stripes.

Thanks, Joe’sMom; I did fussy cut the border. LOL. If I count trying to decide if I wanted to even do the block as designed, sketching a mirror block to substitute, seeing DJ’s great block and returning to Quilt Jane’s block, then all the “fussing” over the block ..... I was in the sewing room for seven hours. If I did a ROI analysis of this block......
