Q, Oh, now I recall a bit. You mentioned the agility competitions a number of Birthday Swaps ago. I forgot, obviously. That would make the need for kennel pads rather important. The light bulb is starting to glimmer.

I don't have a UFO done yet, but I just wanted my little corgi girl to get in on the fun!

Edit: Of course, the drawback to closeups on the floor is you can see the corgi glitter that covers every flat surface so much better... :-P

With this conversation about Corgi's I popped into Libby (free audio books via my library) and listened to " The Queen's Faithful Companion: A Novel of Queen Elizabeth II and Herr Beloved Corgi, Susan." A pleasant read/listen about the Queen's first Corgi who was the beginning of the long line of Corgis that populated the Queen's palaces, right down to the final two that were shown at her funeral. It is a novel but based generally on facts. Part of it is written from the Susan's perspective.

Corgi glitter! Oh that one got me giggling. Indy's home is covered with glitter. Tee-Hee-Hee!

Gemm, you little girl is indeed a sweetie and I bet an entertainer.

I enjoy reading the conversations about the corgi. I have an Australian Shepherd glitter too. He has an abundance of energy and likes to herd the cats. Animals are so great. Very few years have I not had cats and dogs in my life. I believe once we get an Animal we keep it for life. No refunds, returns or giveaways.

well I have the binding on the king size red, white and black quilt 1/2 way pinned. It should be done in a day or two. The I hope to have another 2 more quilts bind by Sunday evening. All are UFOs. I’ll post pics when done. Then I will work on traffic jam and water taffy super hero’s, both are UFOs.

Okay, UFO-ers! While we await the number for August, I’m working on a “new” project (yes, I know, I know…): Flannel baby quilts to use up a panel someone gave me and the last (hopefully) of my flannel. I’m just not as wild about working with flannel, so I don’t want to keep too many scraps of it hanging around tempting me!

Good for you, Q. A productive plan. I don't use flannel either and gave all my flannel yardage and scraps away years ago to someone who made rag quilts. Very seldom do I wish I had some flannel. Each to their own quilting vibes, right?

I was spent a whole day and part of an evening this past week sewing with friends, so I wanted to take just one project. A UFO top jumped in to my arms and should be finished the first full week of August. Now getting it quilted and bound by the end of the month....that will be another story.

I added this two-year-old UFO to my list as #14 and maybe I'll do what is posted for this month too. If I do some double dipping this month I will reduce my pile just a little bit more.

Keep stitching everyone! Reduce, Reduce, Reduce the UFO's.

Good day everyone. Our weather is picture perfect. Upper 70’s for high temp. No precipitation, wonderful weather to be outdoors.

Our challenge number for August is “#4.” So for me it’s my straddling scarecrow w/h. I started this several years ago. I’m at the sewing down the appliqué pieces which I do by DSM. I’m adding another challenge project for me this month. I will quilt and bind my “Climbing cats top, (again started several years ago). I just want to get this project done for myself. I’ll post pic when I’m done.

Happy sewing/quilting everyone, and I just love seeing all of your projects. Take care and enjoy the last 1/2 of summer.

My #4 is a project called “Crop Circles,” a top with curved piecing. I completed the inner top before running out of steam on this one, so I’ll have to haul it out, add borders, and quilt it for completion. Should be a fun one to do, with fall colors that might make this sultry summer feel a tad bit cooler. Yay!

My Number 4 was finished in April for that month's 2.5 project. So I will replace it with a Noah's Ark Strip Quilt. It should go fast and be totally finished by the end of August along with the UFO top I mentioned earlier today. If I recall the Noah's Ark is sandwiched and ready to quilt. Once again.... why don't I finish these quick and easy quilts right away? Beyond me, but thanks, Happylab, for the monthly kick in the rumpus or should I say a gentle reminder to keep me moving ahead on my pile of UFOs.

Quilt on my friends.
