Bonnie Hunter 2020/2021 Winter Mystery: Grassy Creek
#721
Everyone has worked so hard with beautiful results culminating from their creativity. I have really enjoyed the eye candy and have learned so much about color choice from doing Bonnie's quilt and seeing all of yours. Thank you!

AuntJo: that looks great, but I liked your prior version as well.
After my top was completed, I think that combining the suggested “orange” and “red” fabrics would have been a little better but not enough to re-do anything. In my color palette, that would have meant using only green (my “orange”) with no blue-green (my “red”). That’s what happens when you do a mystery quilt and change the colors.

I've just completed my second Grassy Creek pattern. The first (post 705) was for a friend in her chosen colors and this was to by mine. I decided to make two throw sizes instead of a larger one and backed it with minky. Thanks for all the inspiration ladies ~

I've gotten the main center together. Now to see if I have enough of my fabrics to keep going with the first border before even deciding on the the colors for the outer borders. Was thinking the grays, but after seeing some of the other finishes, I may throw in some of each of the dark, medium, and light blues as well in the strip piecing. Have to get there first.
