It is funny that only in a Bonnie Hunter pattern would we call a square unit that size the “big purple piece.” But I’m with you. It seems ginormous.

Teen: Yours are lovely. I especially like your plaid “big yellow piece.”

Yes, the yellow looks great!

I'm thinking this might be a good week for Bonnie to surprise us with an early clue.

Hmmm, since this is a “Bonnie” quilt I’m thinking of making the gigantic purple blocks string blocks. Just seams more appropriate.

I saw someone on Bonnie's Facebook page who had done a 3-part color gradation, which looked quite nice. It definitely helped to break up the mass. I went stash hunting for purple and managed to find 16 different fabrics, most of which I'd rejected at the outset of the mystery for having too much red in them. (I do tend to get overly fixated on the paint chips at the beginning of the adventure.)

The more I look at the progress on FB, the more I like "busy" purple blocks. Off the LQS today to see what they have.

Sleepless night. Might as well be productive. They’re finished.

Pet…beautiful work. You are such a precise piecer…impressive..

I am down to the last handful of clue 6…between this and my hand EPP project, it’s been a relaxing holiday. I was exhausted from Christmas sewing so I’m liking this “easing” into the new year. However, got lots of ideas for the coming year, which I can’t wait to begin.

Praying you all have a lovely and safe New Year and that 2023 is all you could ask for! Be safe!
