My tractor is kinda finished. May change some of the quilting I have done. Did this block over twice and it still isn't what I'd like it to be. This was the hardest block for me and I am not a new quilter. Someone that is a newbe how did you do?

Sjens, the flower on your sheep is just darling. I think your tractor has Wow factor going on. It is awesome.

I think I am going to set myself up for success. I am going to make the tractor using applique. I have heard even on Facebook how hard the tractor is. I had a hard time with the barn. The tractor scares me. Yours is one of the nicest I've seen yet.

The tractor was Really hard. The directions were not easy to follow and I ended up using a picture that I drew the lines on for rows and blocks. That did help but I worked on this for 3 days. One block!!! Good luck with yours and I hope you share it when finished. I still plan on changing the quilting. I am doing quilt as you go for the 1st time and that too has been a challenge for me not something I am very comfortable with.

Tractor turned out great, sjens.....think I'll avoid that pattern and do something else. Not up for a piecing challenge...I'm committed and will finish but...we quilter's are born to modify...so that's what I'm doing.

Edit to add: just saw your sheep block...so so cute....

One of the things I didn't like about the tractor block was how the tires look squarish . Also too many pieces for me. I'm not crazy about paper piecing. Especially small pieces. Sjens I think your turned out really nice. Wow 3 days on 1 blocks. Your a better woman than me, it would have ended up on the floor under my sewing table. lol.

That's so cute S Jens. Love the chain and number tag. My old milk cow had a number 77 and she was the only one with a tag. Why that high a number I don't know. lol.
