Thank you for the nice responses...I’m just happy that I have finally figured out how to post photos from my iPad 🤗
here are my tone on tone pieces...I went with a grunge theme. Got the rest of my cutting done this morning before going outdoors to stack wood in preparation for a rainy/windy storm we’re expecting tomorrow.

Whew! I got everything cut and marked and I'll start sewing tomorrow.
Here are my final, final choices. I put the like yellow/white flowers in for the pastel in place of the like pink. I like it better.
Also, there may have been some miscommunication at the LQS because that little bit was what I ended up with after cutting what was required!

Just checking in. No progress on this project. Tomorrow morning I plan to pick out fabric, wash and iron and cut out tomorrow evening after Chiefs game. Monday and Tuesday I will complete step #2. So I will be ready for step #3 on Friday. In the meantime back to BHMQ.

I had to double check but Friday is NYD!
Hope everyone's Step 2 is going well. I forgot to mark all the squares that were supposed to have a diagonal line on the back so had to do that. I had a pattern on my E1 fabric that is unfortunately being cut down too small with these HSTs to make sense anymore, kinda bummed about that Oh well, hopefully the bigger E1 pieces won't be cut down too much more and the pattern can be inferred from those. The colors look really cute together though!
I've shocked myself by getting all the sewing done and am half-through cutting them. After that, just ironing & cutting off the dog ears are left. I might actually start NYD with everything ready!

After sewing Clue 2 and looking at all I've cut I must say that this years NYD Mystery looks a lot more ambitious than past years! I guess we will see how it comes together. Past years I've been able to keep up. This year I'll have to put on my running shoes.
