Yea, SusieQOH, I'm glad it turned out right after all.

I'm kind of excited to make this sometime. It isn't the kind of quilt I'm ordinarily drawn too, but I found a bundle that will be perfect for it, and have gathered up fabric and pattern to keep with my Planned Projects. That's one more 'what did I buy this for' bundle that is squared away.

sewbizgirl, I like that lightning bolt arrangement- very dynamic

Thank you to everyone who participated (or was just here to watch!) Hopefully the creative spirit and and pleasant atmosphere of this experience will last throughout the rest of 2022.

sewbizgirl, thank you! That was really nice of you to do that. I'm not good at "winging" things quilt-wise haha. That looks really nice. I can't wait to see what everyone does with theirs.

Lately, my body has been telling me it hit a wall (like in running). So I took a nap. Got Step 4 finished and now to Step 5.

SusieQOH good. It's always nice when I can say I followed instructions. I usually don't and create a different mess.

I stuck with it and finished the top. It was laying
on the bed earlier- no pieces border here. SBG. I like your alternative to a miss cut.

Wow, CJ! That looks wonderful. It’s fun looking at what everyone is doing.

I took a long break to help my son with his resume. And watched some of the OSU game. Now listening to the game while I continue to work.

I made enough HSTs for the lap size, but stopped cutting them to see if I wanted to stop at the crib quilt size. I’m still undecided. I am playing with the different layouts to see what moves me.

This isn’t the layout I’ll use….but it gives a visual of the colors and patterns. I’m leaving it for the night. I’ll start fresh in the morning.
