I have a class at the LQS tonight and the only thing I absolutely must buy is 1/2 yard of a solid to do the binding and sleeve for the modern wall hanging. I have NOTHING left for that. Wish me luck that I ONLY get that piece. It's cousin - made from the rest of the solid HSTs has a border that doesn't match the colors perfectly but it did come from the stash and it is in the same color family. To me it looks like it meant to be.

Actually, i have 4 ufo's. but two of them are time dependent, as in they are going to someone in a swap. The other two are things that can be done anytime altho' one is a cover for our French door so it will be warmer for dh in the winter. I was just playing around with fabric strips sets and dh likes it. He wants it to stay here. Isn't that nice?!

The last time this happened i had to go to wal-mart so i could tell strangers.... But since we're sort of anonymous, i can tell you guys. (Drum roll)

My big news, from my dgd, olivia, is, she's being promoted to big sister!! They are pregnant and tho' it's early yet, it is quite exciting! So olivia has had a big month, turned two, potty trained and got promoted. Busy baby!

Oh Nancia! That's great news! Someone's going to be making all kinds of baby stuff now! I'm so excited for you!

Let's see, if I count my runner swap, I have 5 UFO's. But, I have literally 9 other projects I haven't started yet. Some aren't time sensitive, but a couple I should have already done, because I have everything I need. One is a wallet for my best friend, and she's been so patient. Her birthday was last weekend, and one of the UFO's is a set of Christmas potholders for her (that I was making for her birthday), but I still haven't made her wallet!

I have 1 top that's a piecing UFO, needs a border but can't decide. One I'm actively working on, but close to a dozen tops that need to be long armed. Needed a part for my LA, and was too busy this summer to go down & order it. Just came in last week. I'm going to install it tomorrow.

I have great won't buy any power when fabric is full price.

I was good last night - only bought the 1/2 yard of binding and sleeve fabric that I needed.

Congrats on the new addition in the works nancia.

Bear, I hear ya. Easy to say no when the price tag is above $10.

I think I am going to be able to stick to this moratorium much better in the coming months. I have to start in on DGD's graduation quilt and I am going to absolutely try to get everything from my stash. Then I have decided that I have so many scraps that my next quilt will be some kind of scrappy one, not to mention all the UFO's that I have begun. I am ready to drive this wagon instead of just hanging on. Will keep you posted. Congrats Nancia on future new grandbaby!

Normally, I'd say yes. When I went to that LQS in Atlanta a couple weeks ago, I wanted EVERYTHING though! I resisted buying the yardage to go with the jelly roll I bought, because it was $12.25/yard. I'm going to have to find some elsewhere to go with it though. I found a remnant that works nicely with it for a small project I'm doing for Elisabrat, but that won't go too far. I hate paying that much for fabric!
