Here is my little (38") quilt for March. I was surprised at how RED leaps out at you.....and it was a challenge to find a way to frame it. Digging through small battings, I found a polyester chunk and a cotton chunk of appropriate size, but both were rather thin, so I used them both. The little quilt has been washed and is wonderfully snuggly and cushiony. This will go to Firehouse Quilts, a local group that provides ambulances, fire departments and other first responders with quilts to comfort children in distress. Dianne in Colorado |
Wonderful, Dianne! :)

Thank you, Angelina! That's the most red I've ever used, and it was a surprise that it behaves so much like yellow.

Thank you for posting your finish Gray Fox. The white zig zags and blue border seem to surround and trap all of that red energy.
The idea of using two thin battings is intriguing. Makes me wonder whats in my batting stash. |
Nice job and a thoughtful thing to donate it.

I got the borders on my top (March challenge) and the backing ready to go--now to layer it up! Here's a picture of about half of it:

Great quilt Angelia! The large print in the center really changes the look of the blocks.
