I am in too. I just finished a quilt that has been sitting for 2 years. I will post a picture later. It was for a friend. Her husband died and her son got me some tshirts that he used to wear to make into a quilt for her. I had machine quilted it but something happened to a section where the back was all messed up. It sat for a long time and last Saturday I tore out the bad part and requilted that section. She came over for tea later that day and I was able to give it to her.

Donac: A great finish and a really nice thing to do for a friend. Can hardly wait to see pictures.

A long armed nearly king sized quilt is due to arrive any day now and that will need a really LONGGGGGGG binding. And there is the guild exchange block quilt, last year's mystery quilt and, and, and.... I get over whelmed with the list. OK, just one UFO at a time. I hear you saying. Stop, breath and pick up the needle. Can I stay home from work if I promise to just finish one UFO quilt? :o

Teach, too bad you aren't a little further west and you could get some snow days with the lake affect snow coming up! :D

Wow, it's great to see all the UFOs finished already this month! Sounds like we're all working hard :)

I'm in too. I have lots of starts that need to be completed. Last weekend I laid out and measured 8 tops and either matched them up with backing or planned a scrappy backing (I am currently string piecing one back) or made a list of for fabric that needs to be purchased. I went to a local quilt store that was having a sale and found 2 fabrics at 75% off that will work. I also planned out 2 borders for 2 more UFOs. Then there's the stack of 5 quilts that are basted waiting to be quilted next to my new Tiara. Apparently she doesn't work without me by her side. Yikes, I'd better get off here and get started! I also presented a challenge to the quilt group that I belong to - for each of us to finish 5 UFOs. SO - good luck everyone, congratulations to the finished already for 2015!

Good to "see" you, Sherry! Kudos to the great fabrics buys!
I was thinking if we all finish just one UFO, there would be lots of quilting done. Looks like lots of quilters who are committed......

Raggiemom - congrats on the first finishes of 2015. Great job!
Grannyquilter2 - love the "bless this home" quilt.
jclinganrey - great finishes
oksewglad - love the fabrics
jmoore - beautiful quilt. Please post when complete finished so we can see it in all it's glory.

I will track completed UFOs again this year, so please include pictures so we can all "ooh" and "aaah" and get ideas for ourselves to create MORE UFOs!

Hello Everyone!!

I'm also going to play this year. For me I'm going to consider an UFO done when it becomes an actual completed top if it is larger than a small wall hanging. The reason why is that my little Brother hates to machine quilt and that leaves me having to figure out how to quilt it by hand.

The last couple of days I have been working on an UFO and was at the point where the blocks where done but needed to be trimmed. On Monday, I spent the day cutting out all the finishing pieces for this Buck-A-Block UFO and trimmming the blocks. And today this trimmed blocks are all sewn into rows; as are the sashing pieces. When it comes time to work on it according the schedule, I'll give it a pressing and sew all the rows together. This will be my first large completed UFO for the year. From there I'll be off to my next one!!!

Hurray! My first finish of the new year! I took a class from Jenny Doan in early May to make the Disappearing Pinwheel. I got this back from the LA quilter in Nov. Got final stitches of my binding on last night. One picture with my 'model' who always has to lay down on any quilt I want to take a picture of. Then a close-up of the quilting and one without "Toby'. And a big welcome to all of you who are joining us this year!.

Sandy: That is a beautiful quilt and your long armmer did a beautiful job. I thought it was called a disappearing pin wheel because Toby was doing his best to make them disappear.

Pretty quilt Sandy. I like the large pinwheels on the outer border. My QBuddies and I did the DPW block and I have 2 UFO's to finish....thanks for the reminder!!
