Another completed project. Pattern pics came from an old magazine with a change for November to honor Poppy Day. This one was a joy to do. It took me many months and it was my first project using floss but I loved doing it. Not sure it could be considered a finish because the project was finished many years ago and there is minimal quilting. I wanted to hang it in my hallway. Then I changed my hallway wall color and no longer felt that my wall hanging was a good fit. I took it out this month and added fabric tabs and I will be hanging it in my sewing room.

I have a UFO finish for August! It's about 44" square and has been hanging around my studio for several years.

Janice nice green and blue UFO. I like the colors.
anne nice green and orange UFO. I like the green fabric. The top looks nice. Your hand stitching in your wallhanging and quilt is pretty. It's a great feeling having a few UFO's completed. |
Rob...that is another great quilt. very creative. I have this one bookmarked into my 'modern' folder. I have a 'scrappies' folder, a 'modern' folder and an 'unusual/interesting' folder. Now that I think about it, your quilt could go in either one.

Thanks anne2016! I'm never sure what to call most of them either LOL

I finally finished another UFO! In fact, I have 2 others just waiting for binding, but this one is comletely done and ready to donate. It is at least 2 years old, but I'd have to do some digging to find out exactly when I started it. I remember when I bought the fabric - my very first Kaffe Fassett, and I had no idea what/who I was buying at the time. But it made a great one-block Wonder. I used the green I had hanging around to extend the size a bit, and play with some alternate layouts. And then I realized it was still too small to donate to Victoria's Quilts, so I found some coordinating fabric and added the chevron border on one end. I wasn't sure about it at first (but I was desperate), but it's starting to grow on me.

Oh, I like that! Very cool quilt Krista!

Anne2016, I'd say they are both UFO finishes. It took something extra for it to be put into use so the wallhanging is a UFO imho. :) Also, your quilt for Goodwill be found by someone and loved. Congratulations and Toot, Toot for your two finishes.

This UFO had been around for a year. I didn't enjoy making this quilt and it will be put the Goodwill box asap. I had the green leaf fabric for a project that got changed and I wanted to use it to make a simple pattern quilt. I like orange and thought it would look good with the green. When I started putting it together, I came close to hating it. Once the top was finished, I was ready to throw it but I laid it aside and worked on other more enjoyable projects. I went through my UFO pile when joining this group and I saw it again and thought it needed to be the first UFO I finished but I couldn't bear to work on it. I kept putting it off. Finally, it is finished and I am so relieved.
