Like the pieced Tumbler blocks... Watson.

great tumbler quilt!

Rob, the binding wasn't hard. I used bias and just did it like a regular quilt except they were only half corners to fold them and when you got to the inside corners, I just pivoted.

Watson, that's so pretty! Congratulations on the finish!

Beautiful tumbler quilt Watson, was that a stash buster quilt - I noticed some tumblers were pieced!
I’ve had lots of time to do handwork while listening to audiobooks, listened to Pretty Baby and Baby Teeth while I finished this QOV which is a retirement gift for a dear friend who is retiring with 35 years of service with the military. Hope he likes it. Pattern is from a Debbie Mum book, I changed the setting triangles to have maple leaves in Perle 8 thread, big stitched instead of appliquéd apples as shown in the original pattern. It was a great quilt to use up smaller scrap strips. I think my UFO count is down to 6!!! Excited because it hasn’t been this low since I don’t know when. |
OhCanada, the Maple Leaf is just perfect for your QOV...adds a special touch to the quilt...yes he will love it!

That’s a beautiful quilt OhCanada!
Watson-thanks for the info. You make it sound way easier than it looked to me when I was doing mine :) This morning I got a little more done on a couple of UFOs that I’ve mashed together into a single piece. Then went to the dentist for deep pocket cleaning and root planing on upper and lower left molars. Had hoped to do some more on the UFOs this afternoon, but I think I need to lay down for a while... Beautiful Rail Fence, OhCanada.
Rob, what in the world is root planing? Sounds like something I don't want to have done. |
