Well, I brought out my brand new machine yesterday -- first time -- was getting a pile of stash that needs to be stay stitched before I wash it, I also trim off all the straggles so the fabric hopefully does not tangle up in the washer. Sews wonderfully. Loved sitting there just sewing away on my machine. Have Lots More to work on.

Found a sheet of stash that will be used for my Trooper's uniform exact match to the color. May even have enough for my cousin's wall hanging for the Michigan Troop that he worked out of.

Thank you, Rob! I’m trying to decide quilting pattern... I’m just going to have her do E2E so if you have any suggestions, that would be great. What do you think of a Baptist Fan pattern? I recently saw this on an a whole applique quilt and it looked fantastic. My quilt doesn’t have a lot of applique but I’m thinking that still may be a cool,pattern.

I actually have empty bins in my sewing room!. In November I decided to have a fleece day and use up the many pieces of fleece I had. (Fleece day stretched into Fleece week and then Fleece month) So 9 baby blankets and 35 hats and 8 or so scarfs I was able to get my 5-6 overflowing bins of fleece into one 2 drawer storage unit. Earlier this year we made strip quilts for childrens charities so that cleared out space too. Also made well over 200 bags for OCC shoeboxes. I had only a few forays into Quilt shops this year so only one buy it because I like it day, 50 percent off LQS fabric so who could blame me. The moratorium has made me more choosey one what fabric I bring home. My daughter brings in more than I do because she does a lot of thrift store shopping and the Walmart dollar clearance fabric she found went right back out the door to the quilt guild for backs for childrens strip quilts. I did buy some collegiate fabric for masks this year as everyone wanted their favorite team.

I have a bunch of large Minky scraps from backings and ran across a YouTube to make infinity scarfs. Well, that’s what I’m going to do... then I’ll give them to the women’s shelter after holidays. I should be able to get a bunch done. Just in time for winter..

Infinity scarves sounds like a great idea and they will be so soft and cuddly.

A last minute Christmas project that used up about 3 yards of Christmas fabric. It was a tradition in my family started by our master quilter before she passed to make fabric gift bags for our family gifts. Over the years the bags have been passed on and on and on until now we don't have any. So, this year I restarted the tradition and made bags for my brother and SIL for their gifts. They are just simple bags with a ribbon draw string. Some have squared bottoms others not and they are all different sizes from small 5 X & to 22 X 26. I have already started making bags for my nieces and nephews for Christmas 2021. Each bag will hold two potholders.

Shame on me, I did not take any photos of the bags. Will post photo when I finish more. Such an easy gift and it sure saves on the cost of gift wrap the just goes in the trash every year!!

This is a great idea! It certainly works great for those odd shaped packages, too!

Working on my stash, got 2 quilts for Project Linus almost done and a jigsaw in progress. Hope to use a lot more scraps.
I didn't buy anything this year except a yard of white on white for background. I still have more than I will use in my lifetime, but am working on it.
