Since my machines & fabric are packed away, I haven't sewn a stitch since I finished the 2 pillowcases. I did, however, add to my stash by discovering some long-forgotten fabric in boxes from my garage! 2 pieces of a blue, each about 1 1/3 yard, & some dark magenta taffeta-like fabric. I haven't estimated the size of that yet. I wasn't even trying to add to stash!

Hey, all of you who have fallen off the wagon, jump back on and away we go again. I had to buy fabric to finish a project and instead of purchasing just what I needed, I bought all that was on three bolts, about 5.5 yards total It is a nice white on white that is half gone already and will likely be all gone soon. There are no police here and if you need additional fabric or can use it for a project, who cares. Drop the guilt off the edge of the wagon and quilt on! :thumbup:

Novie- I've always found lists to be helpful mainly for the psychological boost I get when I can cross something off. To get the most out of the boost, I find that scratching completely through the completed item gives me more satisfaction than placing a small checkmark beside it. I use a highlighter to cross off finished items in my studio to do lists because I like having a history of how and when items were completed and I can still read the item through the highlighter. But for general household tasks I use an ink pen. LOL

I have fallen off the wagon too, but in a more mindful way than I used to. My fall involved 4 yards of black fabric that will eventually be used in a painted quilt. And also using my 50% off everything coupon from bluprint I stocked up on batting as I was getting low(ish). Now I have a supply of hobbs tuscany wool, hobbs 60/40 cotton-poly blend in natural and black and also some warm company cotton. These will all get used, but I didn’t really need any of them for projects I am trying to complete this month or next. Also, my favorite LQS has started putting things on line and I am seriously considering making some purchases just to help support them.

Rob - your point is well made. Many LQS were already struggling. This may kill some of them.

Well, my LQS was planning on closing May 1st, this will probably hurry up the process. I got some clearance fabrics from Bluprint during their specials, ones that will work great as blenders. Now that I am pretty much caught up with my UFOs I can get to all the projects I want to do to quickly use up some fabric. I had gotten a bunch of FQ sets that should coordinate nicely with stash, so I should be all set for the next 10 years or so. While practicing this isolation thing, being tempted by all the internet sales has been difficult to resist. I think I now have a strong reserve to stop the temptations that arrive daily via the internet. But don't hold me to that.

I'm not even going to scold anyone for fabric buying during the Plague. Seems like there should be an exemption -- but only one so pick yourselves back up and get back on.

I'm still very unsettled by the world around me and not sewing much. But I am slaying dragons in my on-line existence with a vengeance and a rawr!

I've had border to put on a quilt since about December, that darn Frolic project took so much time at the end... anyway, I've made some progress on them and pay actually get them done today and that will mean I can start something new. Maybe I just need something new... It's already planned and should be fun, just has to get done.

I've been shopping on-line but not for fabric..."family members" in need type stuff. Haven't really sewn in a couple of days cuz of virus stuff has me doing other things for family and neighbor's but I hope to bind my WIP I got back from quilter. Also, need to work on a Wallhanging for the Swap in hopes will lift spirit. So easy to succumb to sadness...but we quilter's are a resilient and tenacious bunch.

I agree, with in reason. If I have a purpose for purchasing and supporting my local quilt shops, then why not?! I guess I would be more concerned with random shopping for additional fabric that is more of what I have or with out a purpose. I am trying to beat that habit this year. I can always use batting and thread. But I do not need any more pink, blue, green, purple, brown, yellow, orange or turquoise, you have the picture. I would pass on shopping for those. But for instance, if I had a planned project that required batiks and the shop had what I needed, I would shop. I don't have enough batiks to make a doll quilt. Tee-Hee-Hee. I would not be hesitant to shop to support my favorite LQS.

Just my opinion and not at all a judgement of others. If this episode of quarantine continues, I may change my mind just to keep a shop from closing. Until then keep sewing everyone and reduce your stash.

Too bad I cut up 125 triangles yesterday for another project. And am doing a scrapbusting Irish Chain. My plate is full (and yet!)

Do you have a link to the pattern? I went to the website and did not find it. Or it could be that I am blind. I see the shop is closed but did not find anything about a "sewquester" quilt.
