Got my book spiral bound today. It is about time, I say. I just kept using it and knew today I could let it out of my hands for 24 hours. So they were done in an hour and a half. Tricks on me I guess. Glad I made the investment because I am liking the blocks so much, I may use the book again and again. https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images...s/rolleyes.png

I had a memory moment and recalled that I have the Sylvia's Bridal Sampler book. I got it before I was ready to take on those small blocks and it sat on the shelf with stick notes hanging out the edges but I never made even one block. Looks like I may get to give it a try. It would be fitting since I so love the Elm Creek Series. Wondering if there are any repeats between the two books. Hummm. I really have more important things to do. Later, I will check later.

Doesn't spiral binding make using it so much easier ?

There maybe some repeats - or very similar blocks from SBS, LUS and HJ but I haven't checked !

Some pieced blocks are repeated between SBS and HJ...applique is unique to each from what I have seen so far. I made another block for my 6” block stand. I’ll probably make a few more so I can switch them out when I feel like it...

DH took my book to Office Depot several weeks ago, and they said they could not spiral bind it unless the current binding was removed? My book was already falling apart after the first photocopying. I figure once all the pages fall out, I can then have them spiral bound, LOL.

Lovely block and arrangement, Teen!

I went shopping on Etsy, trying to find some additional fabrics that would harmonize with my Key West bundle. Almost everything has too much color; these fabrics are remarkably subdued in person, much more muted than they appeared online and moreso than most repro fabrics. I have sometimes wondered if something went wrong with the printing of this lot, because the fabrics had the brighter look everywhere they were listed. However, I'm kind of fascinated with them now, and with the idea of Key West itself.

That's strange joe'smom, they cut the binding off of mine then spiral bound it. Maybe you got a new person to the department.

I agree. That is a very odd statement. Try another copy shop. They all do spiral binding.

My office depot had no problem at all. I was going to pick it up later but she did it while I waited. Took about10 minutes.
Life in a small town.

"life in a small town" - in my case that means I need to drive 2 hours to even get to an Office Depot, or someplace that offers that service. So I put mine down on the cutting mat and with the ruler and rotary cutter, started cutting through. Took quite a few passes but I got it all done. Tossed out the binding part and then used the three ring punch to add holes and put it in a binder. I like that I can remove the pages for making copies if needed.

BTW - I have a digital copy for HJ, so I didn't need to cut that apart - but I've done that for several sampler type soft sided books I've bought.
