Sharongn, I'd be thrilled with the fabrics from any one of your photos! Between these last two photos, I prefer the first, painterly fabric. I just think it is a better complement, overall, to the group, both in color and in texture. Plus there's the fact that you prefer it.

Thanks! One thing I am also looking at is my fabric D. Hard to see in the photo. it is a very pale buttery yellow tone on tone. I was thinking of finding something just a bit darker, thinking it will help bring out the goldish color in Fabric A and would work well with the painterly fabric too. I have another gold but it's too dark. See pic.

Oh, I mistakenly thought that light fabric was your G, overlooking that in that case there wasn't a D fabric. I agree that a darker D would be better.

Thanks for your input! I put the darker gold in the lineup and took a pic. Also in black and white. I think it could work. I looked at Merry May fabric D and hers is yellow too, just a little lighter than mine though. If this doesn't look right, I'll ::have:: to go shopping. Lol (FYI, I put my white along the left edge)

Sharongn, a big fat 'yes' to the darker yellow. I'd say you're good to go!

Sharongn, ahhhh those fabrics are all so lovely, it must be torture to choose between them https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images...es/biggrin.png

I'm about to be of absolutely no help, sorry! With your original Fabric D, the light pale yellow, I like the Fabric C in picture #2 better. However, with the new Fabric D, the darker yellow dots, I think that goes better with the Fabric C in picture #1. Overall, even though I really like the Fabric C from picture #2, I do think the dark yellow works better because the rest of your fabrics have very saturated colors and that pale yellow seems desaturated so it stands out (I think I'm using the right terminology there...) So "saturated colors" > "dark yellow D fabric works better" > "Fabric C from picture #1 works best with dark yellow D fabric" = I think the picture you posted with the black and white shows a good group of fabrics to go with. So I think you're right on the money!
