I am so ready! Quilter Momma I think I could give you a run for your money in the number of UFO items. Only I'm ashamed to display them. Currently I have 25 tops complete with backs waiting to go to the quilter and none is smaller than a queen. I have a queen quilt I have been hand quilting for 10 years now that my mother tells me will wind up being used as her burial shroud. I was just exploring when I found this site and thread. After reading it I knew I had to join both site and group. One a month may be tough but I will commit to one every two months. Maybe I'll be better prepared for Christmas 2012.

I am absolutly in on this one. Had to fess up for another group and so far have unearthed 38 UFOs so far. I really DO want to finish some of them, all really but let's get real here. I am going to tackle some of the smaller ones first. Finishing something makes you feel so good that you want to get to the next one. I'm starting with baby steps and building up to big girl steps.

I do not call the one I am hand quilting a UFO. I have had it over seven years now and am only 1/3 of the way done. It is a grandmothers flower garden. My MIL gave it to me and since it has to be hand quilted, well it is still there. That one did not get into my total of UFOs. You need a longarmer that is not real busy, pm me and we can arrange to get some of those tops quilted for you.

I have never done cross stitch. Good luck with it!

Oh yes I need to count those ready to go. If I didn't then I would find lists of reasons to not count the many others. Lol I am a great starter but get antsy and veer off course when a project gets repetitive or " boring". I am a bonified ADD quilter. Lol

I have one that does custom work plus one that will do overall. I just never seem to get the project to them. I think it must be separation anxiety:p

I think the reason that my UFOs have built up is that most of them are waiting to be quilted, which always means a battle with my machine, which doesn't like to quilt - the thought of the frustrations and tears of rage that lie ahead sends me to the next project instead of getting the current one finished. But I WILL deal with some of them in 2012! Even if I have to make myself do 30 mins a day and then go back to some piecing as a reward.

I like your idea of a reward system. I think that I won't let myself work on my FWPC sampler every evening untill I've worked on a UFO!

I'd like to join this group as well. MY UFOs are too many to count.
